Investments of funding, time, and expertise enable the Institute for Women’s Leadership to provide innovative programs and research initiatives to advance women’s leadership and decision making in all arenas. Generous gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations to the Institute are helping to fund the Leadership Scholars Certificate program, the WINGS Mentoring Program and the CLASP summer internships.
Each year we seek funding to support student programs and special opportunities such as internships and research projects, national and international conferences, summer service placements in community organizations, leadership workshops, advising for graduate school and career next steps, and interviews with women leaders.

Plans for Sustainable Building Expansion
Over the past ten years, the Institute for Women’s Leadership and its member units have grown significantly. The expanding numbers of programs, faculty and staff involved in our initiatives have made it impossible to fulfill the space needs of the expanding consortium in our current facilities complex.
The Institute has a Feasibility Concept Plan for a construction project to add a third building and link the existing two buildings to form a major expansion for the Women’s Leadership and Scholarship Complex, Douglass Campus of Rutgers University, 160-162 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, New Jersey The project will incorporate green building LEED standards as well as a gallery associated with the Institute for Women and Art. The total estimated cost for the construction, furnishing and equipment is $14,700,000.
