Please join Dean Jacquelyn Litt, Dean of Douglass Residential College and Douglass Campus for the annual Yule Log Ceremony. This tradition began in December 1918 when the first Douglass class stood with candles on the beautiful winding staircase in College Hall and sang Christmas carols. Today it embraces a diversity of seasonal celebrations, many cultures, religions, and traditions. Just as they did 100 years ago, our students will be holding candles, singing songs, and reading passages that highlight our Douglass community and the advent of the winter season. Following the ceremony, Douglass students, family, faculty and alumnae are welcome to come to the reception!
