Lecture by Dr. Ann Cooper Albright titled, Falling into Memory, with a reception and book signing to follow lecture. A dancer and a scholar, Ann Cooper Albright Ph.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Dance at Oberlin College. Originally an undergraduate philosophy major at Bryn Mawr College, she received her MFA in dance from Temple University and a Ph.D in Performance Studies from New York University. She is the author of many publications, and her new book, How to Land: Finding Ground in an Unstable World, focuses on contemporary American embodiment post-9/11, and will be released by Oxford University Press in November 2018.The CWAH Annual Dance and Philosophy Lecture seeks to support continued expansion of dance as both an art practice and an embodied form of creative research that is also embedded in the humanities.
