Meredith Whittaker is Co-founder and Co-director of the AI Now Institute, a Distinguished Research Scientist at New York University, and the founder of Google’s Open Research group. Jacinta González is an organizer with Mijente, a national political, digital, and grassroots hub for Latinx and Chicanx organizing and movement building that has been pressuring tech and data corporations not to provide ICE with the infrastructure to surveil, detain and deport immigrants. Gloria Steinem Chair Naomi Klein will moderate a discussion ranging from the historic #GoogleWalkout to the growing movements holding large tech firms accountable for the broad social impacts of their practices.
